Suspicious Activity in Highland Park (11-6-2008)
On Tuesday November 4th, around 5:45 pm, a resident in the 1600 block of Wyndham Rd reported hearing someone try to open their a latched storm door. No one was seen at the door afterwards and Police checked the area but couldn't find anyone acting suspiciously. Most likely the someone was scared off by the family's dog.
On Wednesay November 5th, around 9:50 pm, a resident in the 1500 block of Chatham Rd reported hearing someone attempt to open a window at the front of their house. Again, no one was seen by the family or by the Police when checking the area.
There have been no reported burglaries in the Highland Park area. These two incidents are occuring in the evening hours, when the residents were home. Always leave lights on when you are not at home and keep you doors locked. This is good advice even when you are home, but are in another area of the house.
Residents are always asked to be on the look out for suspicious behaviors or activities and to call the Lower Allen Township Police Department through Cumberland County Control at 717-238-9676 or use 911 if the incident is occurring when you are calling.
