ROBERT E. YETTER MEMORIAL FIELD AT VERNON C. WASS PARK
Yetter Field continues to improve thanks to the community support it is receiving. If you have not been past the field lately, drive-by and take a look for yourself! Dugouts are currently being planned thanks to grant obtained with the assistance of Senator Pat Vance. Another safety feature for the field is a grass infield. The Committee is currently raising funds for a grass infield through an Outfield Fence Sign Sale project.
This is where you, your business, your business associates, your teener baseball fans, your neighbors, and your corporate contacts can be of invaluable assistance. The fence signs make your business or organization's name visible to a captive audience of baseball fans from April through October. Please click here to get your application. Don't be left out of this advertising opportunity.
Yetter Field was dedicated back in 2006 as family, friends, committee members, Senator Pat Vance and Township Commissioners Titzel, Bucher, Young, Black and Christ gathered to dedicate the Robert E. Yetter Memorial Field at Wass park.
A committee was formed back in 2001 to raise funds to design and implement a premier Teener Baseball Field in memory of long time Township Solicitor, Robert (Bob) E. Yetter, who was very active in youth baseball and served the Harrisburg Region in various capacities for over forty years. Please click here a brochure.
