Holiday Trash and Recycling Collection Information
York Waste trash and recycling collection will not occur on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When your scheduled collection day does fall on a holiday, collections will be delayed by one day.
For example: If the holiday is on a Monday, the collection schedule that week is Tuesday through Saturday. Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday which means the Thursday and Friday collections move to Friday and Saturday respectively. The collections the following week would be running on the normal schedule.

PAY YOUR TRASH AND SEWER BILLS THE EASY WAY
This is your chance to sign up for the Township’s automatic bill paying service. That means you no longer have to write or mail checks, carry cash to our office, or make a late payment again.
Registration is EASY. Simply complete the registration form, mail it to us along with a voided check from the account you want debited, and we will take care of the rest. Enrollment forms may also be picked up at the Township office or by calling 975-7575 ext. 1204.
Reminder to Residents:
Please put your trash out the night before your scheduled pick-up day, not the morning of your pick-up day, so your trash will not be missed due to an early morning pick-up. Click here for a map of the trash pick-up routes.
Trash and Sewer Rates:
Refuse and sewer are billed the first month of the quarter, and are due at the net amount during the first thirty (30) days. The present rates are $44.00/quarter for sewer and $53.95/quarter for trash.
Senior Citizens who qualify for the Property Tax Rebate Program are eligible for a rate reduction of 10% per quarter. To qualify you must be 65 years of age or older, or at least 50 years of age and a widow or widower and your total household income from all sources must be less than $15,000 annually, after excluding 50% of your Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits. Qualified persons must contact the Township to apply for the discount.

YORK WASTE BULK ITEM PICK UP GUIDELINES
Bulk items consist of the following: Furniture, Carpet, Mattresses/Box Springs, Tires - limit of 3 and must be off rims, similar items that can be lifted by 2 people into truck.
* One per week
* Bulk items to be placed with regular trash unless "white good" (see non-qualifying bulk items below)
* Qualifying regular trash pick up bulk items do not need to call York Waste and should be placed with regular trash.
NON-QUALIFYING BULK ITEMS
Non-qualifying bulk items MUST be picked up with a different truck. To schedule a pick up residents should call York Waste at 1-800-210-9675.
* "White Goods" appliances (washer/dryer, refrigerator, etc.)
* Any items containing freon
* Construction material
CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
Construction material will be collected by York Waste at a cost. To schedule a pick up residents should call York Waste at 1-800-210-9675.
ROLL-OFFS
Roll-offs are located at the township Highway Building located on South St. John's Road. Click here for a list of items that may and/or may not be dropped off at the Highway Building. Please provide proof of residency when you arrive.
